Bursary Program

From 2015 to 2021, the Foundation sponsored Crown Ward Bursaries. The Secondary School Bursary Program launched as a pilot with four bursaries in 2022 and has steadily expanded. For 2026, it’s expected bursaries will be presented to all 20 Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board secondary schools, plus two alternative learning programs and two French secondary schools for a total of 24. Since 2015, the HGCC Foundation has donated about $300,000 to Hamilton students with financial needs pursuing a post-secondary education.
